About the Role
Compassion is a Christian organisation, and it is important that the successful candidate supports our values and Statement of Faith. This role is based in Sydney and is offered as permanent full-time position with a hybrid work arrangement. This role will also require you travel frequently around Sydney to connect with key supporter groups and speak in churches, conferences and pastors’ gatherings.
Reporting to the Church Team Manager (NSW/ACT), you will focus on seeking partnership opportunities within the Pentecostal church space and beyond, generate new leads, establish long-term partnerships, maintain and nurture existing partnerships. You will effectively increase Compassion’s influence and profile within New South Wales, primarily focusing on Pentecostal churches, as an integrous partner organisation of choice. You will work with others within the church team to outwork the church strategy and ensure the implementation is effective and consistent. You are innovative and continuously seek to improve the way we do things. You will also connect local churches in Australia and encourage them to answer God’s call of justice in partnership with churches in our program countries.
About You
- You are an explorer; an innovative streak and not afraid to try new approaches
- You are an influencer; excellent interpersonal communication ability, especially persuasive negotiation.
- Experience in efficiently and effectively establishing long term partnerships.
- Knowledge and/or have existing networks within the Pentecostal churches or similar
- Strong and proven ability to network and adapt to different environments.
- Experience in cultivating, nurturing and growing existing partnerships
- Experienced in public speaking in churches, conferences, pastors gathering/meeting.
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision.
- Able to organise time effectively – available for weekend work. Flex time available during the week to make up for weekend work.
- Qualifications in Ministry, Sales, Marketing and/or Communications or equivalent Theological background (Highly Desirable)
